The large image at the top of the page (highlighted in red) is called the banner image.
Click the Select button in the upper left of the image.

This will take you to the image selection tool. Make sure CVCC Page Banners is selected in the Library drop down from within the Media libraries tab. This library is populated with hundreds of images properly sized for the banner area. Please contact Jill Markwood if you would like an image added.

At the bottom of the image selection tool you will see the current image details. This is where you will see image details when you select a new image from the list.

To preview the images in the list click the Thumbnails mode button in the list view.

With thumbnails you can scroll through the choices to find one that fits with your page content. It is recommended that you change the screen to show 100 images at a time.

After selecting the image, make sure to change the Alternate text under the General tab at the bottom. Alternate (ALT) text should describe the picture so those with vision impairments can understand context. It is required by Accessibility Guidelines.

Once you have selected the image you want and set the Alternative text, click the green Select button.

The image is now added to the page. To save the changes to the page, click the green Save button above the editing pane.

Click the Check in button when you are done changing the banner image.

If you are completely finished editing the page, make sure you
submit the page to have it published to the live server.
