The meeting was called to order at 9:00 am. Each committee member received an email with the meeting agenda as well as funding requests categorized by funding source and the scores of each request requiring action by the committee attached. Cynthia opened the meeting by thanking everyone for attending, saying how good it was to “see” everyone and asked us to bear with her hosting the meeting as she is still new to this position, and we are meeting remotely due to Covid.
Cynthia went on to review the goals and objectives for the committee. There were 5 budget requests made this year. The floor was opened for a quick update on FY22 budget outlooks. Maintenance & Operations Funds and Local Funds, Lewis Bryant, ETF Funds, David Lightfoot, Foundation and Grants, Chris Bryant.

Maintenance and Operations Budget Requests – Lewis Bryant
Lewis discussed the Construct Modular Lab Design and the purchase of a new outdoor emergency notification system. The CTE lab design would be funded through the M&O and Facilities budgets. The emergency notification system would be funded through the M&O budget and carryover.

Foundations and Grants – Chris Bryant
The foundation budget is requested to fund the Construct Modular CTE lab renovation in Framatome Hal 6122-23.

ETF Funds – David Lightfoot
David discussed improved Wi-Fi service on all campuses, inside and out. This is necessary because of Covid restrictions. It will allow us to better serve our students and employees with limited internet access by providing access to strong Wi-Fi in the parking lots as well as improving the Wi-Fi service in parts of the building where it was not strong before. This would help programs like the PLC program which uses laptops that require Wi-Fi.

CRRSSA
Big Interview Service: Provides virtual mock interviews and feedback helping students to successfully interview for their chosen careers.

The annual budget priorities for available funds were approved.
Cynthia thanked everyone for their participation and invited them to contact her with any questions.

Meeting adjourned at 9:45 am.
