Fundraiser – Habitat for Humanity Combining with Social Committee
There was discussion on raising money for Habitat for Humanity by selling tickets to attend a CVCC Spring CVCC Social Event at Loose Shoe Brewing Company in the Ambriar Shopping Center, Amherst, on Friday evening, April 26th. Matthew Poteat, Master Chef, has agreed to cook barbecue and Vic Sizemore’s band will play.  This would be open to the general public.
It was announced that tickets would be $15 a person and would cover one or two barbecue sandwiches, side, and a soft drink while enjoying the entertainment. Mary spoke with Catherine Rice about selling tickets in advance.
There was a suggestion of including a desert with the food and maybe lowering the ticket price to employees who purchase them in advance to $10.
If interested in volunteering on other Habitat Fundraiser groups, hoping to meet at the end of March. Cathy suggested Wednesday, March 27th at 2 p.m. The committee will speak with Catherine Rice to see if Chris can meet that day with any ideas.
Human Resources, Connie Sublett and Schinae Gross-Williams to answer questions regarding benefits and how to navigate through dhrm.
Schinae signed into DHRM (Department of Human Resource Management).
If you are experiencing problems signing into the Learning Center and you need a password, contact Schinae. There was a clitch in signing in and requesting a password because CVCC blocks this.  Schinae will need to provide that for us.
On the DHRM page, there is information on what is going on in Richmond.
