Mike Danos: Part-time Staff-Upcoming food drive and policy for part-time staff to be able to attend meetings were discussed at the last Part-time Staff meeting.
The results of the Instructional Technology Survey were distributed and David discussed the results. 51 instructors (27 Full-time, 23 adjunct, 1 did not answer) answered the survey. Among the results of the survey, transparency projectors can be removed as only 1 instructor stated that they used them and their need with the transparency projector can be covered with a document camera, VCR and the use of VHS tapes would be phased out by Fall 2016, their needs to be training for instructors and staff on how to use the SchoolVue software, LastPass, which CVCC currently has a school-wide license for, might be reduced to a license for only those employees that use it.
A recommendation was made to remove outdated technology (transparency projectors/VHS) from classrooms:
A motion was made by Mike, seconded by Kevin, unanimously passed.
The recommendation will be forwarded to the College Governance Committee.
There was no new business.
