1.     Call to order
Kevin called the meeting to order at 1:02pm.
2.     Approval of minutes from the last meeting
The committee was furnished a draft copy of the previous meeting’s (10/05/2017) minutes.  There were no changes brought forth.  A motion was made by Mike to approve the minutes, seconded by David, and the minutes were unanimously approved.
3.     Wireless printing initiative
The committee continued to discuss bring wireless printing kiosks to campus to assist with student printing.  The committee decided to bring a representative on campus for the next E2IT committee meeting.  Kevin and David will help set up a meeting with a representative from WEPA for the next E2IT committee meeting in January.  Other CVCC stakeholders may be brought in for this meeting.
4.     EAB/Navigate updates
Kevin informed the committee that EAB/Navigate would go live for CVCC and other wave 2 schools in November 2018.  The early alert section of EAB is called EAB Campus.  The VCCS contract with SAILS runs until December 31, 2018.  SAILS looks like it will be used at CVCC through Fall 2018.
5.     New business
New online security training – Ernie asked about online security training.  David stated that the VCCS has purchased a new online security training software package from Global Learning Systems out of Lynchburg.  With the new training system, CVCC employees will receive training notifications, from the VCCS shared security services team, of when they need to take the training.  These notifications will start in January 2018 and roll through April 2018 (about 125 employees per month).  The system does allow an optional FERPA training section that could be rolled out in Fall 2018.
Ad Astra – David said that the VCCS has purchased Ad Astra software for each of the colleges.  This software will input enrollment history from SIS and then use that information to make a predictive analysis of when courses should be scheduled to help maximize enrollment.
Learning Management System – Ed attended the recent eLet meeting and learned that there will be two upcoming updates to Blackboard.  One after Thanksgiving and another after Christmas.  These should be minor, transparent updates.  Ed said that Request for Proposals (RFP) for the new Learning Management System have been sent out.
6.     Adjournment
The meeting was adjourned at 1:35pm.  The next meeting will be held on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at 1:00 PM.
