Meeting Minutes

Connie reported:
Ø At the last College Governance Committee meeting the importance of posting committee minutes in a timely manner on Communication Central was re-emphasized. ERC has continually posted minutes in a timely manner.
Ø Tom Sparhawk resigned from the committee because he is on sabbatical next semester.
Ø Focus during today’s meeting was to fairly distribute the ERC $3,000 budget between the five awards listed below. The committee voted unanimously in favor of the following:
o Outstanding Employee of the Year – is an all-inclusive award; all employees are eligible for this award (Faculty, Administrative Staff, Full-Time and Part-time staff) Award is $750.00
o Those awards designated for a particular group of employees; Outstanding Faculty, Outstanding Administrative Staff, Outstanding Full-Time Staff and Outstanding Part-Time Staff will be awarded $500.00 each.
Ø OFA – ERC will put a committee together which will include last year’s recipient of this award. Nominations will be submitted by CVCC employees and students. Leticia and Connie to meet with Tim Rhodes to discuss Faculty awards, criteria and process.
Ø Connie to submit a new monthly award, Cougar Recognition, rules and process to the CGC for approval.
