Minutes of the Evaluation and Assessment Committee
The meeting was called to order on January 12, 2017 at 1 p.m. in Room 2207.

Members Present:
Cheryl Cunningham (Chair), Peter Dorman, Kirk Gomes, Jessy Hogan, Nathan Kolb, Jim Lemons, Shannon McDermott, Pam Reynolds (Recorder), and Kevin Riley

Members Absent:
Fazi Arabi, Sue Cochrane, Muriel Mickles, Kris Ogden, Gary Randolph, and Cynthia Wallin
Meeting Minutes from the November 8, 2016 meeting:
Cheryl asked if anyone had any changes to the meeting minutes from November 8, 2016. She reminded everyone the minutes are always on Communication Central. Peter made the motion to approve the minutes and Shannon seconded the motion. Everyone agreed to the minutes.

Old Business:
Report by the (OIESP) Office of Institutional Effectiveness and Strategic Planning from Kris.
Due to Kris being absent from today’s meeting, Kevin reported on the Guided Pathways.
Kevin reported they had received nearly all of the Guided Pathways forms. This information will be loading on the new website. The new website should be completed by January 31, 2017, and published by the end of February. A meeting was held with the faculty to go over the footnotes and fix any information in the footnotes that needed correcting. Cheryl said the meeting went well.
Kevin reported the evaluation assessments for the academic year were going well and on schedule. Kevin announced the Community College Survey of Student Engagement (CCSSE) were scheduled for this spring semester. Sixty classes would be picked to have the survey administered in their class. They would be picked after the last day to drop classes.
Peter announced the assessments of ENG 111 & 112 in the HSS division were going well.

New Business:
Cheryl asked if there was any new business. At this time, there was no new business.
Dr. Lemons announced that he had been speaking to Campbell County about a partnership with the local high schools. There will be an informational meeting for parents and seniors to attend on February 13, 2017 on the CVCC campus. The meeting will consist of information on programs such as Health Sciences, EMT/Paramedic, HVAC, Welding, Machinist, Fire Science, and Cyber Security.
 Agenda topics for next meeting:
·         Update on the ongoing assessments from Kris and Kevin
·         Update on the ongoing Guided Pathways process from Kris
Our next meeting is February 14, 2017 in Room 2207.
