Part-Time Staff Association Meeting                                                                        April 27, 2017Minutes                                                                                                                      1:00-2:00 PM
Members present:
Ro Putz, Larry Saffioti, Sarah Jarrett, Michel Mavinga, Michael Danos, Michelle Fluker and Jennifer Onuffer.
Approval of Minutes:
The minutes from the March 23, 2017 meeting were approved.  Mike made the motion and Ro seconded.
Treasure’s Report:
We have $7.46 in savings and $367.00 in checking, including a recent deposit of $92.00 from proceeds from the Pizza Sale.  An additional $175.00 was raised through the Pizza Sale and this was donated to the CVCC Student Emergency Fund through the Educational Foundation.
Committee Reports:
President’s Cabinet (Sarah):
Part-time paydays will be moving to every other Friday instead of Mondays.
Financial Aid Appeals (Ro):
Haven’t met.
Old Business:
Don’t forget to apply for Part-Time Staff Educational Awards when you finish a certificate or a degree.  You may be eligible for a one-time cash award for your accomplishment.  Forms are available online on the HR website.
New Business:
The following officers were elected for the 2017-2018 Academic Year:
Sarah Jarrett (Chair)
Jennifer Onuffer (Vice-Chair)
Mike Danos (Treasurer)
The Recorder position remains open.
A Member Survey was reviewed and it will be send to part-time staff this summer.
Future meeting Timing:
We will have a summer social event.
The PTSA will request to meet no earlier than the third week of school in the fall semester.  It is too busy for most of our members to attend a meeting any earlier.
